Dr. Shayne Piasta
Visiting Assistant Professor
Ohio State University, School of Teaching & Learning, Preschool Language & Literacy Lab

Dr. Shayne B. Piasta is currently a visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Teaching and Learning and Research Scientist in the Preschool Language and Literacy Lab, both at The Ohio State University. She received her doctorate in Developmental Psychology from Florida State University where she was an Institute of Education Sciences Predoctoral Interdisciplinary Research Training fellow at the Florida Center for Reading Research. Her areas of expertise include early and emergent literacy skill development and empirical validation of educational practices.

Professor of Literacy Studies
Department of Learning, Teaching and Curriculum, University of Missouri

Dr. Elizabeth (Betsy) Baker is a Professor of Literacy Studies at the University of Missouri. Dr. Baker's research interests include integration of literacy and technology, new literacies, future literacies, 21st century literacies, multimedia case-based instruction in teacher education, and sociocognition in teacher education, literacy, and new literacies.
