Jennifer Gross, Ph.D. is an associate professor of psychology at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. Her research in applied cognition draws upon on her training in cognitive psychology and psycholinguistics at Wayne State University, her position as a human factors psychologist for General Dynamics Land Systems designing ‘talking’ and ‘listening’ army tanks, and her childhood fascination with word games (e.g. Mad Libs; mnemonic competitions) played when the family took long trips by car.

Dr. Elizabeth (Betsy) Baker is a Professor of Literacy Studies at the University of Missouri. Dr. Baker's research interests include integration of literacy and technology, new literacies, future literacies, 21st century literacies, multimedia case-based instruction in teacher education, and sociocognition in teacher education, literacy, and new literacies.
