Dr. Alexandra Gottardo is an Associate Professor in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She has a background in Educational Psychology and speech-language language pathology. Her research interests include the development of reading in second language learners across a wide range of ages, from preschoolers to adolescents.

Dr. Elizabeth (Betsy) Baker is a Professor of Literacy Studies at the University of Missouri. Dr. Baker's research interests include integration of literacy and technology, new literacies, future literacies, 21st century literacies, multimedia case-based instruction in teacher education, and sociocognition in teacher education, literacy, and new literacies.
