Caroline T. Clark is a Professor of Adolescent Literacy and English Education in the Department of Teaching and Learning at The Ohio State University. Most recently she worked with Dr. Mollie V. Blackburn to facilitate and document the work of a book discussion group with high school students discussing LGBT-themed young adult literature. Together, they also facilitate a teacher inquiry group committed to supporting LBGTQQ and gender creative people in schools. With Mollie Blackburn, Lauren Kenney and Jill Smith, she co-edited the book, Acting out: Teachers combating homophobia and becoming an activist community. Her work focuses in particular on teacher education as a context for preparing teachers to do this work.

Mollie Blackburn is a professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning in the College of Education and Human Ecology at the Ohio State University. Her research focuses on literacy, language, and social change, with particular attention to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth and the teachers who serve them.

Dr. Candace Kuby is an Assistant Professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Missouri. Her scholarship focuses on: 1) critical, inventive, hybrid, and multimodal literacies and 2) innovative qualitative research methodologies. Candace is the author of "Critical literacy in the early childhood classroom: Unpacking histories, unlearning privilege"(2013) with Teachers College Press and co-editor of "Disrupting Qualitative Inquiry: Possibilities and Tensions in Educational Research" (2014) with Peter Lang. Journals in which her scholarship appear include: International Journal for Qualitative Studies in Education; Young Children; Journal of Early Childhood Literacy and Education, Citizenship, and Social Justice.
